Our Bible Reading Plans
1. Genesis to Revelation (Sequential Bible Reading Schedule)
This plan guides you through the Bible from start to finish, beginning with Genesis and ending with Revelation. It’s the simplest way to read the Bible, providing a clear path from creation to the fulfillment of God’s promises.
2. Thematic Reading Bible Reading Schedule
Our thematic reading plan ensures a balanced and varied reading experience throughout the week. Each day is dedicated to a different genre or type of biblical literature, allowing you to engage with a variety of scriptures and keep your study fresh and engaging.
3. Patchwork Method Bible Reading Schedule
The Patchwork Method is designed to weave together daily readings from the Hebrew Scriptures, Greek Scriptures, Psalms, and Proverbs. By following this carefully crafted schedule, you’ll engage with approximately two pages of the Hebrew Scriptures, one chapter of the Greek Scriptures, and portions of the Psalms and Proverbs each day. This variety ensures a balanced reading experience, providing respite with lighter, uplifting material even as you work through the Bible’s more complex law and prophecy.
4. Basic Chronological Bible Reading Schedule
The Basic Chronological plan organizes the Bible in chronological order, helping you follow the historical timeline. For instance, you might read Isaiah 37-39 alongside Psalm 76, which both relate to the Assyrian invasion of Judah and Hezekiah’s response. Another example is reading Deuteronomy 32-34 paired with Psalm 91, reflecting on Moses’ final words and the protection of Jehovah. This alignment helps you understand the context and flow of biblical events.
5. Detailed Chronological Bible Reading Schedule
For a more intricate experience, the Detailed Chronological plan synchronizes events and writings in precise chronological order. For example, you might read 1 Samuel 27, Psalm 31, 1 Chronicles 12:1-7, 1 Samuel 28:1-2, 1 Samuel 29, 1 Chronicles 12:19-22, and Psalms 5 and 40 together to understand the events surrounding David’s time among the Philistines and his emotional and spiritual reflections during that period. This method provides a detailed and interconnected understanding of the Bible’s narrative.
